Dana K. Petersen, M.D.
Dr.Petersen is the newest, but most highly trained surgeon in the group. He has multiple degrees. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology/Biotechnology from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, he then Obtained a Master of Science in Oral Biology/Pathology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Furthering his knowledge in the field of oral diseases, he acquired a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney School of Dentistry. Instead of limiting his specialty to oral disorders, his next accomplishment was securing a medical degree from the University of Sydney School of Medicine. Supplementing his knowledge in dentistry, he then completed residency training in Otolaryngology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. His training did not stop there. He completed 2 separate fellowships. His first fellowship was Head and Neck Surgical Oncology & Microvascular Reconstruction at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His final fellowship was achieved locally in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. He is more than qualified in caring for multiple diseases of the head and neck. He lives locally with his wife and children and has a strong interest in our community.
